There has been great progress in the renovation of Pasteur Hall at University of Massachusetts Lowell. Construction is well under way and the existing space has been gutted. The removal of walls reveals the underlying structure and materials, including the 15-foot wood ceilings which will be restored and left exposed.
This project involves renovating the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of Pasteur Hall and will maximize natural light and expose the original structure of this 1937 building, while providing a new home for the Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Departments. Program spaces include faculty and departmental offices, a series of classrooms, student research labs, and a variety of student-centered spaces including lounges.
See below for some of our renderings for the proposed new space.
