Stone installation proceeds at Fort Lewis College. The local stone product has a natural variegation, but is accentuated by "jumper" stones that project from the facade, accentuating the play of shadow. This detail shot also shows the juxtaposition of the stone against the board form exposed concrete.
Here you can see the building from the 3rd floor of an adjacent classroom building. The master plan calls for the parking lot between these buildings to be returned to a natural landscape and to be used for stormwater treatment. Reed Library is visible behind the addition (at left).
