Norwich University South Hall Going for Gold

Perry Dean recently completed a new dormitory at Norwich University, Northfield, VT, in association with Freeman French Freeman of Burlington, VT. The project is expected to achieve LEED Gold Certification. The dormitory is 5-stories and 78,000 gross square feet. The program includes 101 double-occupancy and 79 single-occupancy rooms in two double-loaded corridor wings, for a total of 281 beds. Each wing includes a RA room, quiet study lounge and toilet/shower rooms. Each floor shares an open public lounge, an enclosed TV/music lounge, and a kitchenette. In addition to dorm rooms, the ground floor includes the Residence Director’s apartment and a fitness center.
